We brought Gogoro to life through a modern, global-first brand identity, a comprehensive launch strategy, a sophisticated digital ecosystem, & innovative retail stores. Let’s Go!

The company mission is lofty, so with our first unveiling of the company we took things to the streets...







The smart scooter itself was a breath of fresh air in a market flooded with scooters that all looked like cheap transformers wannabes. It’s built around a battery swapping model so you don’t have to worry about staying charged, & the scooters are sleek, approachable, & a ride like no other... 






Our partnership was fundamental to Gogoro — beyond launch marketing, we also developed the brand identity, made the product videos & stills, created the app & battery swapping station experiences, & built them a world class web presence...




































Across Taiwan we put up OOH campaigns, & opened flagship Gogoro stores around Taipei...



















In retrospect, this project was a major turning point in my career, allowing me to expand beyond brand design into interactive & storytelling. I’m so grateful to have been on the ground floor of this brand, & for the chance to work in Taiwan & experience stinky tofu.











👋 My role:

I was a through-line from conception to execution, providing consistency & a uniform aesthetic with each phase of the program, doing brand strategy, on site market research, logo design, brand identity design, art direction, UX / UI design, retail development, & merchandising.

📈 Result:
Gogoro was instantly iconic, & the site was a hit: Site of the Day -FWA, Public Short List - FWA, Selected - Siteinspire, Site of the Day - AWWWards. Since we launched the brand in 2014, they’ve grown tremendously beyond Taiwan, & can now be seen on the streets of Japan, China, India, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Spain, Germany, France, & Israel.
